Rip Roaring Success
![]() Western Swing and Old Time Country Music Show
Sat 30th June - Bickerton Village Hall
The Rip-Roaring Success are a 3 piece band playing western swing style country music. Due to a cruel twist of fate they live not in Texas USA, but on a council estate in Widnes. Despite this, they are having a lovely time as they take their hot swing music to the people.
Come and enjoy an evening of lively, energetic string music delivered with style and charm by this charismatic trio. Combining slap style double bass, swing fiddle, rhythmic guitar and sweet harmonies, their skilled performance will make you think you're in an authentic Texas dance hall. Foot tapping is mandatory. Dancing, whooping and hollering is optional... but highly likely.
“The Rip Roaring Success managed to keep the audience very much on their toes with a great set of country influenced swing. They have really captured very accurately the feel of The Hot Club of France and mixed it with Hank Williams and Louis Jordan to produce a fabulous end product that will enhance any festival both musically and visually” Pete Evans – Bangor on Dee Blues Festival 2011
Suitability: All (8+)
