Welcome To Bickerton Village Hall
Bickerton is a small village nestled at the foot of the Bickerton and Peckforton Hills in Cheshire.
Located on Long Lane, just off the A534 between Broxton and Bulkeley, the Village Hall is an integral part of the local community and plays host to many local activities and groups.
Recently renovated and superbly equipped the Village Hall makes an ideal venue for clubs and associations and private parties and has a range of rooms and facilities available to hire.

MOBILE LIBRARY. Please note that Nantwich Mobile Library stops at BICKERTON VILLAGE HALL on a Thursday every 3 weeks. The details of the next visit are on the hall noticeboard. The library is in the hall carpark from 12.40pm to 1.10pm.

John Lindley ‘Reel to Real’
Cheshire poet laureate, John Lindley performs from Screen Fever his highly entertaining and critically acclaimed collection of poems about the magic of the cinema. His spell binding readings interspersed with classic film and images will entrance you.

2) NEW FILM SEASON Autumn 2014 to Spring 2015
The films for the new season are:
17th October 2014 'Sunshine on Leith' at 7.30pm
Two Scottish soldiers return from active duty in Afghanistan to their life long residence of Leith, Edinburgh. Best friends Davy (George MacKay) and Ally (Kevin Guthrie) kindle romances old and new. Ally plans to propose to Davy’s sister, while Davy falls head over heels in love with Yvonne. Meanwhie Davy’s parents Rab (Pete Mullan) and Jean (Jane Horrocks) are busy planning their 25th wedding anniversary.
Inspired by the Proclaimers this is a toe tapping film adaptation of a stage show, and through the songs we are there for life’s highs and lows and that of their families.

3) KEEP FIT CLASSES 2014.
These are fun and effective exercises helping to maintain joint mobility and muscle tone. Suitable for all ages and abilities and an excellent way for the more mature person to keep fit. We move to music and use apparatus such as balls and beanbags. The exercises are called Medau and the classes are taken by Ann Netherton who is a qualified Medau teacher.
Classes are held at the village hall on Tuesday evenings from 7.30 to 8.30pm

5) Tennis Club.
The Tennis Club has information in its own section in this web site about how to join the club and tournament events that are coming up. Contact the Membership Secretary Gill Ellison on 01829 782693.

The club has also launched a new coaching initiative led by Gary Ward, the new coach at the club. Gary is a level 4 LTA Registered Pro with 35 years experience of playing and coaching all levels from total beginner to advanced county standard. Gary has a number of new coaching ideas that he has implemented at the club for both juniors and adults.
Gary also runs a regular Ladies Cardio Tennis Group on Tuesday mornings.
