Bickerton Village Hall

Bickerton is a small village nestled at the foot of the Bickerton and Peckforton Hills in Cheshire.

Located on Long Lane, just off the A534 between Broxton and Bulkeley, the Village Hall is an integral part of the local community and plays host to many local activities and groups.

Recently renovated and superbly equipped the Village Hall makes an ideal venue for clubs and associations and private parties and has a range of rooms and facilities available to hire.

NOTICE BOARD

On the main menu, click on 'Activity Groups' and then on 'Music' for upcoming concerts, on 'Film Night' for the Film Society (all films are open to everyone) and on 'Theatre' for visiting theatre productions or click on any individual activity group to find more information.

MOBILE LIBRARY. Please note that Nantwich Mobile Library stops at BICKERTON VILLAGE HALL on a Thursday every 3 weeks. The details of the next visit are on the hall noticeboard. The library is in the hall carpark from 12.40pm to 1.10pm.

The hall supports the mobile library - please tell your friends and neighbours!

1) Folk Concert

The Houghton Weavers are coming to Bickerton Village Hall!

This internationally renowned folk trio will be here on Friday 23rd August. The doors open at 7.00pm and tickets are £10.00 each which incudes a ploughman's supper. There will be a licensed bar.

2) Art Exhibition

Bickerton Village Hall will hold its annual Art Exhibition between 27th July and 4th August 2013.

Opening times are 11am to 6pm every day except the last day (Sunday 4th August) when we will close at 4pm.

The exhibition will feature oiginal work by local artists to view and/or buy. There will also be a varied choice of cards for sale.

You will receive a warm welcome and there will be refreshments that include teas, coffee and homemade cakes.

3) Tennis Club

The Tennis Club has information in its own section in this web site about how to join the club and tournament events that are coming up. Contact the Membership Secretary Gill Ellison on 01829 782693.

The recent (March 2013) Tennis Club Newsletter and 2013 Membership Application Form are available in the Tennis Club section.

The club has also launched a new coaching initiative led by Gary Ward, the new coach at the club. Gary is a level 4 LTA Registered Pro with 35 years experience of playing and coaching all levels from total beginner to advanced county standard. Gary has a number of new coaching ideas that he has implemented at the club for both juniors and adults.
