Funders Details
In August 2009 the Committee agreed to resurface the car park to improve the safety and appearance of the hall. The money for this work came from a £15,000 loan tken out through ACRE (Action with Communities in Rural England).
The loan was for a period of 8 years and we are making quarterly repayments of £522. We also make 'one-off' payments from time to time when we have sufficient funds in our account. At this time (Febuary 2011) the remaining loan is £3416 and we aim to have paid of the remainder of the loan by early 2012. Thus we will have taken only 2.5 years to pay off our 8 year loan. This is thanks to support from all those who use the hall and come to our fundraising events.
The hall now has a solar hot water system to compliment the photovoltaic (PV) panels that were installed in February 2009. The solar hot water system was funded by a generous donation from Tarporley Rotary Club and by a grant from the Northern Marches Leader programme. The village hall is very grateful forthis financial assistance.
The hall no longer uses oil to heat its hot water and also is benefitting by exporting any surplus PV generated electricity to the grid and getting paid or this by our electricity supplier. The two systems (solar hotwater and the PV panels) save an estimated £1650 per annum and also save 11,500 Tons of CO2 being released into the atmosphere.
THANK YOU FOR ALL OF YOUR SUPPORT!
